JAVEN IS GOING GREENER
Javen is creating a green agenda, offering future customers ecological solutions coupled with the increased use of new green technologies which will offer both of us a more sustainable environmental future
We have created a number of key platforms, these new platforms will be used as our foundational building blocks when making new key future decisions
RECYCLE
A decision has been made to try and reuse up to 80% of all pre loved stock, this will mean that previously old and contaminated equipment will be recycled and decontaminated utilising all internal and external parts and componentry
All parts including external componentry will be decontaminated using the latest up to date technologies using only processes that have both ecological and green credentials at its heart
This new range of Eco Cycled products will be recycled to a high standard there may be minor external cabinet discrepancies of example minor scrapes which we have been unable to remove
BATTERIES
Products which traditionally use either short life batteries or electrical supply will be phased out over the next 12 months, we will be change over to all long-life batteries, this change will impact your costs significantly with a saving of over 90% on your energy cost
The reduction of two battery changes per year will, additionally lower our carbon footprint and emissions by fewer van journey taken to schools and business
Waste costs for batteries disposal will also be impacted positively with both CO2 emissions and Landfill space reduced
It’s worth noting that not all products would be applicable to the above change and will require to continue to use the electrical supply
WASTE REDUCTION
Previously loved units e.g. Water Chillers and Hot water boilers which are normally disposed of to Land fill, it is our vision that up to 75% of all plastic based products will be recycled significantly reducing our Landfill footprint and co2 emissions with reduced visits to waste disposal sites.
With Javen increasing its green credentials one of the key drivers is the reduction on landfill and Landfill Taxes, this is an environmental tax paid on top of normal landfill rates by Javen products which invariable ends passed onto our customers. This cost is intended to encourage alternative means of waste disposal, such as recycling, by reflecting the environmental costs of landfill to be used more efficiently. With this in mind Javen has developed our Eco – Recycled range of pre loved products alongside an additional land fill reduction project to reduce our current reliance on short-term batterie use, a key new platform is our battery reduction process. which sees Javen moving towards more sustainable alternatives To see our range, click here
Local authorities in England collected 2.16 million metric tons of waste for landfills in the year ended March 31, 2021. The volume of waste collected for landfills has decreased by roughly 90 percent since the year ended March 31, 2021. As landfill waste has decreased, recycling rates in England and Wales have grown.
